In Romania, the most important event dedicated to the acknowledgement of the national culture, "The Award for Excellence in Romanian Culture", took place on 23rd March at the Romanian Athenaeum and reunited the elite of Romanian culture and science.
The prize, now at its third edition, was awarded to an exceptional cultural personality for his accomplishments: the sculptor Ion Irimescu. The 2001 edition was honored by the presence of personalities of the artistic cultural life, as well as of the political life.
Unique through its proportions and value of the awards, the event enjoyed a great publicity through all means of communication. The proportions of "The Award for Excellence in Romanian Culture" was confirmed by the large spaces accorded in their transmissions by TVR International and the prestigious channel Muzzik International.
The participants and the nominees have observed in their interviews the fact that the Award for Excellence in the Romanian Culture is the most important and respectable mediated manifestation dedicated to the values of Romanian science and culture.
SonArt Artist Management & Records was the one to organize the concert sustained by the "George Enescu" Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Cristian Mandeal, alongside with valuable soloists of the international stages.
